It has paved roads and central water system. Ideal for walkers and joggers. Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake. The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years. Steps lead down to the dock with a covered boat slip (no hoist), storage area, lights and electricity. There is also a firepit, perfect for cool nights and roasting marshmallows! Carport attached to the house available to tenants. *Water level and use of slip not guaranteed (due to fluctuation of lake level). At full pond, the slip is fully accessible. | CANCELLATION POLICY: If a reservation is cancelled with at least 60 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid rental payment (less any pre-paid Travel Insurance fees) will be refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 60 days of your arrival date, no refunds will be issued. We suggest each tenant take advantage of our Travel Insurance to protect your money paid in the event of an unexpected cancellation. | |||||||||||
