MOUNTAIN VIEW SHORES is a lovely development with many year-round homes, it features a private boat ramp area where you may park your boat trailer for the duration of your stay. It has paved roads and central water system. Ideal for walkers and joggers. Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake. The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years.

Lovely, three level home in Mountain View Shores. On the main level of the home is a great room with living and dining areas and a cathedral ceiling. Large windows and french doors frame the view of the lake and lead out to the covered porch outside. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a central island with a sink and small breakfast bar. One bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom are also on the main level.
The upper level of the home has a loft that overlooks the great room below. On this level, you'll find another bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath and a sitting room with a futon and TV. On the lower level of the home is a rec room complete with a pool table, bar, stereo, and TV. A third bedroom with a full bed and another full bathroom are also on the lower level of the home.
The home has 4 TVs with Comcast cable. TV in upstairs bedroom offers a VCR, living room TV has DVD/VCR. Central A/C throughout, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Grilling area on the lakeside of the home has a gas grill, sink (cold water only), bar, outdoor dining table with chairs and outdoor speakers. Lighted walkway to the stationary dock.
